Obituary: Judith I. Wagner Brown

Judith I. Wagner Brown died peacefully at her home in Meeker, Colo., on Saturday, March 5, 2011. Judi was born on Dec. 8, 1941, in Denver, Colo., and attended school in Rock Springs, Wyo.
Walter M. Brown of Meeker and Judi were married Feb. 3, 1962, in Denver. Soon after, they moved to Meeker and were blessed with the arrival of their daughter Jan Brown Nye on May 14, 1962, and their son Erik D. Brown on Oct. 1, 1965.
Judi was a devoted mother full of fun and good humor. She was a treasured and steadfast friend to so many people and brightened the world around her with her intelligence, wit and compassion.
Judi moved to California in 1987 and returned to Meeker after her retirement from State Farm Insurance in 2005.
Judi’s heart and soul were filled with love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Judi loved to travel, read novels of every genre; she was a devoted fan of the BBC, loved British humor, movies of all kinds and spending time with her family and friends.
Judi was a beautiful, regal woman who was truly loved by her family and friends. Judi lived life to the fullest, finding joy and laughter in all people and all circumstances. With grace and humor Judi courageously battled cancer and was grateful for the compassion, support and generosity of her friends, family and the extended Meeker
community.
