Ken Jett, lodge owner and outfitter, passed over Oct. 19, 2012, at the age of 83. He operated Ripple Creek Lodge up in the high country of northwest Colorado for a huge part of his life. He may best be remembered as a cantankerous old coot who really loved his scotch. Nevertheless, he will be remembered by his surviving sister, Marie Matthews and her husband Charles Matthews, from Missouri City, Texas, and their sons, Chris and Bob, along with their respective families. Ken will also be remembered by his surviving daughter, Deliese Kennedy, who loved him regardless.
Ken was predeceased by his mother and father, Lillie B and Dennis Jett from Cleveland, Texas, and his son, Dan Kennedy, from Austin, Texas. Many, many thanks goes to his longtime friend and companion, Esther Reynolds, who was by his side until the bitter end. His cremated remains will likely be scattered in the high country after the spring thaw. For more information as to time and place, please contact Esther.
