Obituary: Lance Allan Rogers

On Sept. 23, 2011, Allan Lance Rogers peacefully passed away in the company of his family at the age of 64. Lance became an inspiration to those around him after being paralyzed in a 1979 trucking accident. He never let the difficulties he faced in life change his morals, his commitment to provide for his family, and his success at being the best father and role model possible. He led by example and left the wisdom that we should never take tomorrow for granted, to embrace today and to never let our circumstances define us.
A lifelong Colorado resident born in Fairplay, Lance was raised in Meeker and lived in Cortez and Denver before moving to Arizona’s Bullhead City and finally Chandler, Ariz. The son of Allan Rogers and Doris (Longenbaugh/Mappin) Brown, he was married to Pam (Merritt/Rogers) Rule and he lives on through his two daughters Andrea Lipo and Candice Ngo as well as his four grandchildren Lexi and Kalli Lipo and Silas and Eli Ngo. He is survived by five siblings Penny, Max and Pam Mappin and Rusty and Ben Rogers.

There will be a small gathering in Chandler, Ariz., this December and one next summer in Fairplay, Colo., to remember his life.
