Margaret (Burna) Blackburn, 82, of Rangely died on Feb. 1 at Rangely District Hospital.
She was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Ardmore, Okla., to Ike D. and Maurine Ryan Price.
Burna married James (Jim) Burnett Blackburn Sept. 12, 1952, in Denver, Colo.
She was an advertising assistant for the Denver Post and a drilling assistant for Carter Oil, Standard Oil, Chevron/Red Wash and Chevron/ Rangely. Burna retired from Chevron in 1986 after 26 years of service.
Burna’s passions included her dedication to her work, her love of books, her collection of Indian artwork and especially her delight in her grandchildren.
She is survived by son Buckley Price Blackburn and his wife Cheryl Mae Blackburn of Rangely, grandson Rile James Blackburn of Rangely, granddaughter Sara Mae Baker (Curtis) Blackburn of Colorado Springs, great-granddaughter Ashlyn Mae Baker of Colorado Springs and sister-in-law Dixie Hacking of Vernal, Utah.
She was preceded in death by husband James Blackburn, twin sisters Elizabeth Ann Price and Cordia Jane Price and sister-in-law Dona Beck.
A private family burial will be held in Dry Fork Cemetery.
