Marjorie Archuleta died Nov. 6, 2009, in Las Vegas. She was born to Fred and Wilma Bashaw in Lawrence, Kan., on June 24, 1931. Margie’s parents lived in Blue Mountain, Colo., in the 1950s and her grandparents, George and Ida Bashaw, farmed at Twelve Mile in Mesa.
Margie and her husband moved to Dinosaur in 1992. They were featured in a Herald Times article for highway cleanup in March 2001. Margie was an artist and a good friend and she will be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Albert Archuleta; two siblings; children Sharron, D’Anna, Penny, Candice and Michael; four granddaughters, six grandsons, six great-granddaughters and seven great-grandsons.
