Norma May Crawford joined her Lord and Savior Nov. 22, 2009. She was born in Montrose, to Ellis and Ida Webb on May 13, 1929. Norma met her soulmate Harry “Hack” Crawford and they wed Oct. 29, 1948. To this union, the pride and joy of their life was added, Carol Ann.
Norma worked as a clerk for Don Longley, Tom Murray and Bernie Nieslanik’s grocery store for many years. Harry and Norma owned and operated the White River Liquor Store for 20 years.
Norma loved gardening, camping and family. She never met a stranger and always placed others before herself. She was a member of the Meeker United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry, parents Ellis and Ida Webb, four brothers, Donald, Lawrence, Merlyn and Clifford. Also four sisters, Thelma, Neva, Ruby and Naoma.
She is survived by her daughter Carol (Eddie) Atwood, two grandchildren Shona (Tiger) Richardson and Rowdy (Christy) Atwood. Also five great-grandchildren and two-great-great grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday at the Meeker United Methodist Church, with interment at the Highland Cemetery.
Cochran Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangement. Donations may be made to the Norma Crawford Trust in care of Cochran Memorial Chapel.
