Patsy Jo Story, 69, a lifetime resident of Meeker, passed away at Pioneers Hospital in Meeker with her family by her side.
She was born April 4, 1945, in Meeker, Colo., to Leasil and Josephine Thompson French.
Patsy married the love of her life, Larry Story. She enjoyed camping, fishing and going on vacation with her husband, daughters and their families. While in her younger years, she loved hunting for arrow heads. Patsy was very strong in her beliefs. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by: her husband, Larry; two daughters, Stacy Dawn (Delbert) Giswold and Shawna Marie (Dave) Raes; four grandchildren, Kaylena Miller, Cole Griswold, Trent Randall and Dusti Parks; 10 great-grandchildren, Reese, Keyara, Clay, Brett, Ayla, Jackson, Baylie, Josephine, Ezra and Kable; a sister, Margeret Davis and Shirley Randall.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Buddy French; and three sisters, Charlene Spoon, Betty Pitchard and Bonnie French.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday Aug. 2, 2014, at Highland Cemetery in Meeker. A private family viewing was held one hour prior to the services, which were under the direction of Blackburn Meeker, Rangely and Vernal Mortuaries.
