Rebecca May Hodge Dubbert was born Feb. 7, 1965 in Mexico, Mo., the daughter of Edward and Leta Hodge. She died Jan. 27, 2018, in Grand Junction, Colo., at the age of 52.
Becky graduated from Mexico High School in Mexico, Mo., in 1983. She attended the University of Missouri and received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Mesa State College, Grand Junction, Colo.
In 1986 she married Jeffrey Charles Dubbert of Mexico, Mo. They have one son, Jacob Charles Dubbert. They made their home in Rangely, Colo., where she worked for many years at Colorado Northwestern Community College, serving as executive assistant to the president, public information officer, and special events coordinator. She also served as vice president of the Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce.
Besides her husband and son, she is survived by her parents and sisters Susan (David) Slavney of St. Louis, Mo., and Libby (David) Weber of Columbia, Mo.; by in-laws Lawrence and Shirley Dubbert, Steve (Tammy) Dubbert, and Roger (Kristie) Dubbert of Mexico, Mo., and Cindy (Dan) Miller of Kansas City, Mo., along with many extended family members.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Mexico, Mo., with visitation following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
