Obituary: Robert Wells, Aug. 31, 1927~July 16, 2011

Robert Wayne Wells, 83, of Meeker, Colo., passed away July 16, 2011.He was born in LaVerne, Okla., on Aug. 31, 1927, to Edward and Virgie Mae Miner Wells. He met Joan Lavelle in Cimarron, Kan., in 1949, and they were married two years later. Together they had four children: sons Rayon and Robert Wells Jr. (deceased) and daughters Mary Lou Adams and Linda Denning. They raised their family in Meeker. His loving wife Joan of 58 years passed away in 2009.Robert loved the outdoors and was a guide and outfitter for hunters. He helped his brother break and train more than 200 horses for the U.S. Army. He was an amazing father to his children and will be greatly missed.
