Zelda S. Frandson, 88, of Loveland passed away on Nov. 26, 2009, at a local nursing home.
Zelda was born on June 25, 1921, in Meeker to Clyde B. Stephenson and Goldie M. Wilson Stephenson.
She married Rowen D. Frandson on Oct. 20, 1950, in Fort Collins.
She served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a hospital dietitian in the Medical Specialist Corps. She entered the Army on June 25, 1945, and was honorably discharged as a first lieutenant in June 1948. She was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Loveland and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fort Collins, where she sang in the choir and was on the altar guild at both churches. She was also a member of the Clara Ball Loveland Book Club, PEO, Sweet Adelines and DAR.
Zelda enjoyed walking, cooking, singing, genealogy, crocheting, traveling extensively and was a wonderful seamstress.
Zelda is survived by her husband, Rowen D. Frandson of Loveland; sons, Eric R. Frandson of Aurora and Mark A. Frandson of Denver; daughter, Stephanie Frandson-O’Neill of Clifton, Va.; and sister, Doris W. Warren of Meeker.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1208 W. Elizabeth, Fort Collins.
Inurnment will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church columbarium.
