Old Timer’s dance, dinner and Meekerpalooza slated for June 7

RBC I The Rio Blanco County Pioneers Association 102nd anniversary “Centennial plus 2” Old Timer’s Reunion Dinner and Dance will be held on June 7 at the Freeman E. Fairfield Community Center.
Invitations have been mailed to members containing registration forms that must be returned by May 24 via mail.
Recognizing that not everyone wishing to attend may receive a mailed form, members and guests and potential new participants may also access the RBC Pioneers website and download an invitation on line or may register electronically using the Eventbrite registration service directly from the website with a credit card.

The 2014 theme is “How the West Was Fun” and will feature some new and exciting events, including a pioneer costume contest for any period from 1885 to the present; prizes will be awarded for best costumes.
Entertainment will feature exciting performances as well. Capturing our Culture features video interviews of individuals, families, class reunions to reminisce and share stories that will serve as the basis for the Rio Blanco County Historical Society’s “This is What I Remember” documentaries of county residents.
Class reunions for all Meeker and Rangely high school classmates will be held as well. Family and area reunions are also encouraged.
The Meeker Arts and Cultural Committee’s Meekerpalooza art and music festival will also be held on June 7 and provides entertainment for all prior to the start of the reunion.
