‘Oz’ auditions on Tuesday

MEEKER I The Meeker High School Drama Club and International Thespian Society Troupe No. 1284 will present the classic musical “The Wizard of Oz” in April, MHS Drama Club directors Gary and Laurie Zellers have announced.

Auditions for parts will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Meeker High School auditorium.
A prepared and memorized short monologue and a song either from the musical or another offering should be rehearsed in advance of the tryout.
Actors may come in costume and use props for tryouts if they wish.
The scope and cast size of this production will also require younger actors from elementary and middle school-aged youth as well as some adults of the Meeker community.
Assistance with technical crew positions will also be welcomed for set and scene design and construction, costumes, makeup, hair styling, props, stage management, lighting and sound and much more.
Previous MHS Drama Club musical productions that have included community cast and crew participation included “The Music Man” and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.”
