RANGELY | It was a busy week for the golfers as they were in Rifle for a tournament on Tuesday and then in Vernal for a dual on Thursday. Rifle proved to be a good test for the golfers with its challenging holes. Phil Arnold led the charge with 91, followed by Nick Massey with 96. Marshall Webber shot a 113 and Elijah Deming carded a 122. After this match the golfers realized that there was work to do on their games which will help improve the scores.
On Thursday the whole varsity and JV team was at Vernal for a dual with the Utes. On the JV side Carson Palacios and Dylan Zuffelt continue to improve their golf skills each match. Pete Hanks came in with a 111 and Tanner Ridgeway shot a 128. On the varsity side Phil Arnold again shot a leading score of 89, while Raiden Ganser and Nick Massey shot 99. Elijah was the final varsity with a 104. Wednesday of this week the varsity golfers will compete in Craig at 1 p.m.
