RANGELY I The Lady Panther volleyball team traveled to Baggs, Wyo., last Thursday to continue their regular season play. “We had opportunities to capitalize and came up short,” said coach Marybel Cox. Rangely fell to Little Snake River in four games. Friday they hosted Debeque and both the JV and varsity teams won in three sets. “Great serving by the team contributed to the win,” Cox said. The team played well and never let Debeque in the game. They finished them off in three games and hoped to build momentum for their league game against Caprock Academy in Grand Junction on Saturday. The JV team came out strong and beat Caprock in three straight sets. The varsity looked like they were going to follow suit as they won the first two sets before struggling in the third. They rallied back in the fourth set to finish off Caprock and win their league game. They traveled to Meeker on Tuesday of this week for an always competitive match. Rangely won in four games. They travel to North Park on Friday and host Vail Mountain on Saturday.
