Panther wrestlers honored at annual awards banquet

RANGELY — The Panther wrestling team held its awards banquet on March 26.
There was a pot luck dinner, a slide show of the season, speeches from the captains and awards.
All Rangely wrestlers received varsity letters. Chance Peters, Ryan Petty, Chad Petersen, Blake Wanstedt, Devon Rose, JC Chumacero, Cole Barlow, Brandon Gray, Travis Witherell, Zakk Wenzel, Ryan Cramer, Logan Osborne, Christian Holcomb, Jake Smith, Keane Raley, Bo Armstrong, Mike Dillon, Patrick Brown and Kindal Cushman received their letters. Managers were Rachael Drake and Charlie Gordon.
Several awards were presented including awards for team captains JC Chumacero, Travis Witherell and Christian Holcomb; rookie of the year Chance Peters and Kindal Cushman; most improved wrestler Ryan Cramer and Bo Armstrong; Panther pride award Mike Dillon; outstanding wrestler Christian Holcomb; senior awards Ryan Petty, Ryan Cramer and Christian Holcomb; All-state Academic Mike Dillon; and All-state Honorable Mention Christian Holcomb.
The Panther wrestling team awarded Greg and Teri Holcomb a plaque for their hard work and support for the past four years. The team and parents also presented Coach LeBleu and Coach Shaffer with gifts.
