RANGELY | Even though the season has ended, the Rangely cross country team decided to take a little trip to run in the Nike Southwest Regional Meet in Casa Grande, Arizona. The team took two girls and three boys to run plus an extra for support of the team.
The Nike Southwest is a meet comprised of runners from Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona. The meet is divided into small schools, medium schools, large schools and the championship race.
The Rangely runners ran in the small school division and had good times. The girls ran first with Mary Scoggins and Chloe Filfred participating. Scoggins took 105th place with a time of 21:35 and Filfred took 176th place with a time of 25:07. On the boys’ side Colton Noel, Andrew Dorris and Anthony Dorris competed. Noel had a time of 20:51, Andrew Dorris had a time of 21:15 and Anthony Dorris had a time of 22:52.
