The Rangely Panthers wrestling team was in Craig this past weekend. Forty Rangely wrestlers competed in the tournament with 25 placing in the top four.
“The team has shown signs of improvement and that’s all we can ask for. I would like to take this time and say thanks to the parents that helped out with the tournament. Without all of you we could not do this,” said coach Andy Lucero.
This week’s champions were Breckin McElhaney, Tyce Lucero, Jedidiah Vandewark, Anthony Dorris, Karver Lopez, Johnny Dominguez, Jose Flores, Dontea Pearce and Byron Mackay. Second place winners were Landon Carlson, Tanner Strain, Dylan Smuts, Joshua Dunn and Calvin Bishop. Third place winners were David Middleton, Kobey Chism, Sage Rhea, Kevin Wren, Corbin Lucero and Tytus Coombs.
