MEEKER I The Meeker Chamber of Commerce has released the award winning names in the Parade of Lights held Dec. 3 in downtown Meeker.
There were 13 entries in the “Festival of Lights”-themed parade.
All of the entries were creative and bright in some way, and hundreds of Meeker residents and visitors lined Main Street for the length of the parade.

The “It’s a Wonderful Life” Best of Show Award was presented to Pioneers Medical Center.
The “Clark Griswold” Brightest Float Award went to White River Electric Association.
The Santa’s Elves Choice Award went to the Meeker Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
The Barone Middle School track team competed and placed well in the meet in West Grand last weekend. The eighth grade boys won the overall meet. Read the recap online at ht1885.com.
