When asked about the move, Walgrave stated, “It’s finally time for the NPS academy to have our open house in the Cramer Building. We have everything set up the way we’d like and would love to show everyone our little corner of campus.”
On Oct. 14, the NPS held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the academy to officially introduce the public to its new building location. The program supplied cake and donuts and coffee for the ceremony.
Participants were able to practice taking fingerprints, use the National Park Service simulator and see the glorious old photos from previous classes. Students were around and everyone had the opportunity to talk with them as well. Demonstrations on the NPS classes were also given with public participation.
The open house ran from 4 to 6 p.m., and National Park Service staff members were excited to show what they are all about
