MEEKER I The Frostbite 2014, which is the final golf tournament of the season, was held Saturday at the Meeker Golf Course and followed by the annual membership dinner/meeting.
The course is played backwards in the annual Frostbite, utilizing a two-person scramble format.
Forty-eight club members played in the Saturday tournament. Local club champion J.C. Watt and his partner, Willy Theos, shot a four-under par 30 to win the tournament, giving Bryce Ducey and Pat Walsh, who shot even par, second place.
Managers of the golf course restaurant and owners of Chippers, Larin Crase and Danielle Feora, turned in the best score as a couple, a two-over-par 36, one shot ahead of Lex Collins and Jill Massey, who tied with Jeff Asselin and Jamie Renck.
After the nine-hole tournament, a potluck dinner was held members voted in the election for three new board members.
Six names were on the ballot, including Pat Walsh, the only incumbent running, Kyle Frary, Brandon Banducci, Roston Steiner, Doc Watson and David Arnold, all vying for three seats.
Walsh was re-elected and Banducci and Steiner will also be added to the board, which includes President Kurt Blunt, Treasurer Irv Griffin, Secretary Jim Joy and at-large member Harry Watt.
Bryce Ducey and Greg Ackerman did not run for re-election.
