We want to say thank you to Dr. Turner, Dr. (Albert) Krueger, Carol Dorsett (nurse) and the PMC team. They coached us through and everything went smooth,” said the parents.
PMC does not typically deliver babies, except in emergency situations.
“Delivering a baby can be exciting, but there are so many unknowns that can happen, and for the safety of both mother and baby, they need to be cared for in a facility with dedicated resources for deliveries,” Dr. Turner said. “When an expectant mother comes to the PMC emergency room, we work closely with either St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction or the Memorial Hospital in Craig, to get the mother to a larger facility with more obstetrical care.”
