Aart Huijg, who passed through Meeker this summer and stopped for lunch at Clark’s, checked in from Mexico recently, saying, “Sorry for the delay. I crossed the border into Mexico and not a lot of Internet is available. At the moment I am writing from a computer at a high school. Updates will be posted on my website, but it will take another four days till I reach Durango. The last days have been great! Digging bones and searching for treasures in the Copper Canyon, taking hot spring baths in hidden caves, getting lost on dirt roads and spending the day with local cowboys on the ranch.
