INVITATION FOR BIDS

Town of Meeker

You are hereby invited to bid for the construction of a new roof at the Town Animal Shelter, located at 109 3rd St. in Meeker. The project includes removing the existing roof and rebuilding with a metal shed roof, with a 2/12 pitch, that meets a 40 pound ground snow load. Roof should shed water and snow on the north side of the existing building and include metal seamless rain gutters.
Bid proposals shall be mailed or delivered to Meeker Town Hall, 345 Market Street, Meeker, CO 81641 by 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2019. The Town Board of Trustees will open and award the bids on Tuesday, August 20th at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 345 Market Street in Meeker. The successful bidder must maintain workers compensation and general liability insurance in the amount of no less than $1,000,000 during the project and shall include three references for construction projects of similar scope.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids; to change, add, or amend the specifications; to waive any informalities; and the right to disregard all non-conforming or conditional bids or counter proposals. Each proposal shall be reviewed and considered consistent with the provisions of the Town of Meeker Purchasing Policy. All bids shall be sealed and “Animal Shelter Roof Bid” written on the front of the envelope.

NOTICE OF UPCOMING ELECTION/
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, the Rangely Junior College District election will be held where there will be three seats open on the Board of Trustees. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes will each serve four-year terms. Anyone interested in running for these seats must be a registered voter and reside within the Rangely Junior College District. In addition it is necessary to submit a notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 25 registered voters residing in the College District. The first day to circulate nomination petitions is August 7, 2019. The above mentioned forms may be obtained from Linda Gordon, 215 Hillcrest Avenue, Rangely CO, 970-629-1116. The petition must be completed and returned no later than Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. To obtain an absentee ballot, please contact the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder’s office.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Meeker School District Re-1
Rio Blanco County, Colorado
The Board of Education of Meeker School District Re-1 in the County of Rio Blanco, State of Colorado, calls for nomination of candidates for school directors to be placed on the ballot for the regular biennial school election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
At this election three (3) directors will be elected for four (4) year terms. To be qualified a candidate must be a registered elector in the school district for at least twelve consecutive months before the election as shown on the records of the Rio Blanco County Clerk & Recorder.
A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least twenty-five (25) eligible electors who are registered to vote in the regular biennial school election for at least 12 consecutive months before the election in accordance with law. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.
Nomination petitions may be obtained at the school administration office, 555 Garfield, Meeker, Colorado, beginning on August 7, 2019. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Completed petitions should be submitted to Janelle Urista/Jessica Browning, the School District’s designated election officials no later than 4:00 p.m. on August 29, 2019.

Skyway Towers Polluck Canyon Limited Impact Review PLIR-0001-19. The applicant is requesting to construct a 250 foot self-support telecommunications tower and associated equipment compound. T-Mobile will be the first carrier on the tower. The tower will be constructed to accommodate additional telecommunication carriers. PUBLIC NOTICE
Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, Blue Mountain Energy, Inc. hereby issues notice that an application for a technical revision to the Deserado Mine Permit No. C-1981-018 submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc. 3607 CR 65, Rangely, CO 81648, was deemed complete for the purpose of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing.
The revision (Technical Revision 72) allows for the addition of Refuse Pit A, including appropriate sediment control structures.
The Deserado Mine Permit area lies within USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps entitled “Rangely NE” and “Cactus Reservoir”. This area is situated in T3N, R101W, 6th P.M. in Rio Blanco County about 10 miles northeast of the Town of Rangely. A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Town Clerk’s office, Town Hall in Rangely. Written comments or objections to the application must be submitted to Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303)866-3567 within ten (10) days of the date of publication.
