TOWN OF RANGELY
PUBLIC NOTICE
SUSPENSION OF THE TREE AND BRUSH DUMP
Due to illegal dumping of trash and disposal of man-made treated lumber and materials the Tree Dump privileges have been suspended for an undetermined time frame. When trash is dumped at this site it has to be sorted from the piles and then either hauled to the landfill or moved to another location to be burned. Please keep the site for its intended use and ensure that the material left is strictly biomass. This site will not accept any refuse, trash, tires, treated or manufactured lumber, plastic bags containing brush and grass unless the bags are removed first.
We will evaluate if we will be able to open the site again this fall or possibly need to wait until next spring. If you would like to see this type of benefit continue please report illegal dumping at this site or on BLM property and help the Town, the County and BLM manage this problem throughout our area.
