Before finding success sending the small pumpkin flying more than 150 feet, this duo had a tough time with the punkin’ chunkin’ catapult during the Haunted Happenings event Saturday afternoon at Sanderson Hills Park. The pumpkin projectile can be seen here falling straight to the ground despite the determination of the shooters. The ERBM Recreation and Parks District put on the event, which included many different games and an early evening Zombie Run through the mountainside above the park.
One of the amusements available at the ERBM Recreation and Park District’s Haunted Happenings on Saturday was the pumpkin carving. Here, Sawyer and Jayda May each took on a large carving knife to create Halloween pumpkins. Several hundred people took part in the event, held at Sanderson Hills Park in Meeker.
