RANGELY | Radino seniors kicked off the coming of summer with a barbecue on Saturday, June 20. Lots of good food — brats, barbecue pork, salads, baked beans, watermelon and red velvet cake — along with good conversation and shuffleboard games.
Sixteen seniors attended and made plans to continue the barbecues throughout the summer. Please contact Pat Atherton and/or Irene Rose at the Radino Senior Center between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday, if you are interested in coming out for a good time.
Regular afternoon games from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. continue at the Radino — board games, card games, etc. — and there is always room for newcomers.
The senior bus continues to pick up seniors for lunch during the week and make monthly trips to Grand Junction, Vernal and day trips. It is also available for doctor appointments, grocery store visits, etc. Call 629-1545 for bus information. Monthly bus schedules and menus are always available at the Radino Senior Center.
The Radino Craft Room is open on regular meal days and has a nice inventory of handcrafted gifts for sale.
