RANGELY I Doug Monger, vice chairman of the Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado, and Rangely Town Manager Peter Brixius, who is also an AGNC member, have announced that through AGNC’s $50,000 mini-grant program awarded from the state Department Of Local Affairs (DOLA), a $5,000 grant on behalf of the Town of Rangely was approved by the AGNC committee.
The $5,000 grant will be used to replace an existing, older water feature in the Town Hall courtyard with a new water feature and seating area.
Brixius, who serves as the town’s representative to AGNC, says the current water feature is unsightly and plagued with structural problems and that the improvements will enhance the business and cultural aspects of downtown Rangely.
“We appreciate AGNC’s involvement in this project, and look forward to partnering with the association in the future,” he said.
