RBC — On Feb. 28, president Brittany Babineaux called the meeting to order with nine members attending. On March 9 the council held another monthly meeting with 10 members attending. The club would like to urge every 4-H member to attend council meetings. If you would like to participate as a 4-H member at the 2009 Rio Blanco fair and you are not in a club, you can attend 50 percent of the council meeting.
Meeker will be holding a 4-H Carnival on May 30 from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. Clubs can have a booth. A 4-H dance will follow that night. On May 4 WQMA will be at 5 p.m. at the Rangely annex building for new member and any member who turned 14 before Dec. 31. 4-H animal weigh-in and ear tagging will be at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 9 at the Rangely community pens.
Members voted at the meeting for council officers. We will find out the results at the next council meeting. On March 10 Myriah Moreno, James Rogers, Quincey Thacker, Caitlyn Ducey, Cheyenne Steele and Tessa Slagle helped the assisted living make door decorations for St. Patrick’s Day. The next council meeting will be Monday April 13 at 6 p.m. (the second Monday of every month).
