RANGELY — In conjunction with the Countryside Veterinarian Clinic and the Rangely Police Department, the Rangely Animal Shelter will be sponsoring its yearly rabies clinic April 19 in the parking lot behind the sheriff’s office.
The clinic will begin at 1 p.m. following the 9News Health Fair and continue until 3 p.m.
All animals must be confined in a cage (mostly cats) or on a leash and have a handler who can keep their animal/animals under control at all times.
As before, all shots will be given at a reduced price and cat and dog licenses will be issued free, but will be given only if accompanied with a current rabies certificate. If you want a license and have a current rabies certificate at home, be sure and bring it with you.
The clinic will be having its bake sale again and anyone wishing to donate baked goods would be greatly appreciated — just drop off at our sale table. All proceeds will go to the animal shelter.
An added feature this year will be Agape Mobile Grooming. It will be on site and groom on a first-come, first-served basis. Other vendors will be available advertising their businesses including many handout brochures. The clinic wants to alert community members to the many different assets that are available for them and their pets.
Clinic organizers are looking forward of offering service for the community on April 19. If shots are not needed, pet owners invited to stop by anyway and visit with the groomer, vendors and take home some baked “goodies.”
