Rangely Hurricanes

The Rangely Hurricanes have won the Seasonal Club small team state championship the last three years. They got a good start this year, swimming to a fourth title. The Hurricanes hosted a meet attended by swimmers from Steamboat Springs, Craig and Battlement Mesa. Nora Patch, Justin Prosser, Geli Brown, Patrick Scoggins, James Scoggins, Tessa Slagle and Grant Lancaster were all high-point winners in their respective divisions. Swimming for the Hurricanes this summer are (front) Tessa Slagle, Geli Brown, Grant Lancaster, Justin Prosser, Patrick and James Scoggins, (second row) Caleb Noel, Travis Coates, Timothy Scoggins, Mary Scoggins, Adelynn Halcomb and Gavin Lancaster, (back row) William Scoggins, McKenze Cochrane, Daniel Conner, Korrynn Wenzel, Kelsey Prosser, Sarah Connor and Alexis Lopez. This week the 8-and-under swimmers will compete in Ouray and the older swimmers will compete in Grand Junction.

The Panthers play the Aspen Skiers today at home following wins against Dove Creek on April 13.
