Rangely Locals: March 26

Gotta love this weather! I hope you haven’t put away your winter hats and gloves. I don’t mind the rain/snow mix, but I hate the wind. It’s good to have an article submitted again. I don’t know if I’m the Prodigal Son or just a man desperate for news to share, but here I am, begging you to contact me!
I had a great spring break last week and am looking forward to finishing up my chemistry class — no offense, Jay! My sister Brooke and my absolutely adorable nephew, Cutler, came up to visit for a few days. You can see Cutler’s picture and birth announcement in this week’s paper and I’m sure you will agree that he is one handsome fella!
We also enjoyed celebrating Clay Allred’s second birthday with his family.
I heard the annual Children’s Health Fair had more than 180 children participate this year between Rangely and Meeker. That’s great and I hope even more will take advantage of this opportunity next year. Also, don’t forget the 9News Health Fair that is coming up in Rangely in April.
I believe there are going to be some tough times ahead for our country and our town and hope to see our community come together. The oil and gas industry is slowing down and we all know people who are out of work. The school district is facing some tough budget decisions, too. Those of us who have chosen to make Rangely our home know that we must depend on each other to sustain our community and I encourage everyone to get involved in some way.
