RANGELY — This Christ-mas season the Rangely National Honor Society students held a toy drive for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Bins to collect donations were placed at three different locations.
The toy drive was very successful. On Dec. 18 NHS students gathered all the donations and took them to the hospital in Rangely. The staff was ecstatic to see Rangely High School students walking in the front entrance with bags full of toys in their hands.
In later conversation, a hospital staff member mentioned that a few days before they were talking about how the hospital needed things to comfort the children who have to visit the hospital during the holidays. NHS was glad to help.
We would like to thank the collection areas for allowing space for the bins and the people of the community who participated in the toy drive. We had an amazing turnout. Thank you again and happy holidays.
