RANGELY — This weekend the Rangely Lady Panthers finished out their regular volleyball season by hosting Paonia on Thursday night and then going to West Grand on Friday.
Thursday night we came out ready to play and played well. The Panthers won in three games with the scores of 25-28, 25-22 and 25-16.
Heather Wanstedt led us in digs with 11 while Meagan Piering followed with seven. The team did a nice job of spreading the sets out and our hitters did a great job of killing the ball.
Phelan and Piering finished with 10 kills, Morton and Kenney followed closely behind with seven each. On Friday we had a long bus trip to West Grand. I was nervous the long trip would affect us and this was a must win game for us in order to finish second in league.
We won the match 3-1.
Wanstedt led us in digs with 13, followed by Kenney with 10 and Phelan with seven.
