Rangely I Saturday, Sept. 24 was cold and gloomy in Rangely, but these kids didn’t seem to care. The Big Red Juicy Pears (the team in the green jerseys) won the soccer game 5-1. The other team, The Goals, did just as well though. Both teams, made up of 8- to 11-year-olds, did great this season and there is a special thanks to all the coaches, parents, and volunteers who helped out. There is also a very special thanks to Roberto Gomez for stepping in and helping coach, referee games and for buying pizza for both teams and their families to celebrate the end of the season. The AYSO soccer season ends this Saturday, Oct. 1 with games at 9, 9:30, and 10 a.m. at Elks Park.
