n Local TV technician Burr Singleton says the reason why Channel 7 is off the air this week is because of weather problems in the Steamboat Springs area.
n Rio Blanco County Sheriff Ron Hilkey reports this week that the lost cattle that were reported to his office by Strawberry Creek rancher Martin Villa are gradually showing up.
n Dear Santa: I would like a baby kid and a baby dollie swing for my other kids. I love you, Deni Back, age 3.

n Candymaking tips: At high altitude, decrease the final cooking temperature by 2 degrees Fahreinheit for each 1,000 feet in elevation. This will prevent excessive evaporation of water and help keep your candy from becoming sugary.

n Six RHS cheerleaders attended a clinic for football cheerleaders in Colorado Springs, those participating were Peggy Hanzon, Susie Hillis, Lisa Brady, Kathey Caldwell, Angela Theos and Judy West.
