RBC I A community meeting related to Craig and Meeker will be held June 3 in Craig, involving officials from Rio Blanco and Moffat counties to discuss the situation surrounding the Colowyo Mine.
The meeting will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Craig High School and other officials and residents of both counties are encouraged to attend.
The agenda includes: Welcome and introductions—Ray Beck, the mayor of the City of Craig; Regas Halandras, the mayor of the Town of Meeker; issue overview by Chris McCourt, manager of the Colowyo Mine; overview of NEPA—Doug Lempke, the senior environmental policy analyst of Tri-State; remarks from Tri-State Board Chairman Rick Gordon; actions and activities underway—Mike McInnes, chief executive officer for Tri-State; Questions and answers; and concluding remarks by the Rio Blanco and Moffat county commissioners.
