RANGELY I Rangely District Hospital will receive a $25,000 grant from the Caring for Colorado Foundation to expand its laboratory testing services.
The project’s focus is to provide primary care services through laboratory testing to residents of rural northwestern Colorado. By expanding chemistry testing locally, including diabetic testing, therapeutic drug testing, and infection monitoring, Rangely District Hospital’s laboratory hopes to increase the testing done locally and decrease the number of tests that must be sent out for results.
“We quickly realized the importance of providing the most testing locally,” said Kelly Just, laboratory manager. “This grant is important to realizing that goal.”
“We believe that this investment will help us further our mission of improving the health and well-being of many people in Colorado,” said Caring for Colorado President and CEO Chris Wiant. “It is important that we continue to support innovative and effective programs and services that help individuals and communities across the state.”
