RE-4 School district thanks parents

RANGELY I It doesn’t take a Harvard research study to tell us that parent involvement in education is a good thing. Our two principals are strong advocates for parental involvement in their schools.
Berry Swenson appreciates it when parents attend school functions such as back-to-school night, parent/teacher conferences, sports activities, band concerts and award assemblies. In addition, this year his staff will be hosting two family education nights per semester.
Mike Kruger also appreciates parents attending back-to-school night, open house, parent/teacher conferences, class presentations and Monday morning school assembles which highlight the value of the month. He is proud of the number of parent volunteers in classrooms, on morning bus duty and during lunch. Parkview staff will also be hosting two family education nights this semester. The first education night is Oct. 2, and he wants to invite all families to attend.
By way of appreciation, Swenson and Kruger would like to invite all parents to come and enjoy lunch with their kids throughout the month of October. There will be no cost for parent lunches during the month of October. Our principals believe this is a great way for parents to show their kids how much they support their child’s education. In order to maintain costs and provide for an orderly environment we ask that this lunch program be limited to parents, grandparents and guardians.
The school district greatly appreciates parents and the support they provide for their children. We know it takes exceptional patience, diligence and discipline to promote a daily homework time with your students. The district is committed to delivering an education that prepares our students for success after high school and this can only be accomplished with support and involvement of all parents.
