Read Across America…

Read Across America was celebrated the week of March 2-6 at Meeker Elementary School. During library, the students learned about Theodore Seuss Giesl and his love of illustrating and writing books for children. Seuss’ birthday party was held on March 2. To start the day, 26 high school Life Skills students read a Seuss book to each class. Shana Holliday’s marimba band performed as everyone came in and settled down and Kathleen Kelley’s high school English literature class performed four Dr. Seuss books in reader’s theater. Pictured above is Renay Mobley’s fourth-grade class in the library.
