First let me say how much I enjoy your opinion page each week in the Meeker Herald. I always look forward to what you have to say.
My main reason for writing to you is to say “thank you” for the article in the July 2 paper regarding the fireworks show in Meeker. Todd Morris is my son, and my husband and I greatly appreciate the article you wrote about him and all of the hard work he puts in year after year to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch and the dedication he puts into this program. Needless to say, we are so very proud of him and it is heartwarming to read good things about him. As a Meeker native, the 4th of July has always been a special time for him and knowing that he is helping to keep a tradition going is very important to him. I know Todd is looking forward to next year already to have an even better fireworks display than this year to really celebrate the 100th anniversary of Meeker. I hope to be there in person to witness it.
Keep up the good work you do, and tell my daughter-in-law Tonya hi for me!
