Members of the Color Guard from Meeker VFW Post 5843 presented a Memorial Day salute to the soldiers who lost their lives in service to America. About 30 people watched as the Color Guard marched out onto the bridge over the White River, where retired U.S. Naval officer and Meeker attorney Frank Cooley, far right, said a prayer for past troops.
Below, flowers and American flags adorned many of the burial plots at Highland Cemetery in Meeker. The flags were placed on the graves of those who had served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
