Local World War II veterans Warren Hickerson, Frank Cooley, Ernie Garcia, Dick Moyer and Joe Sullivan, along with Ethel Starbuck, visit together before fellow World War II veteran Dave Allen threw the ceremonial wreath into the White River in remembrance of soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Local veterans formed a color guard, marched onto the bridge at Circle Park, said a prayer, gave a 21-gun salute, followed by Eagle Scout Alema Atoafa singing the National Anthem and Tom Allen playing taps. God bless our troops and God bless the United States of America!
