Early this week Mrs. W.H. Randolph, from her cabin on the claim to Josephine basin, with a small .22 caliber rifle, shot and killed a large gray wolf.

Santa Claus will make his official visit to Meeker on Saturday, Dec. 16. This will also be the day of the jackpot drawing. The lucky person will win $500 in Christmas Scrip which can be spent at any participating Meeker business at face value.
