RANGELY — The Rangely Middle School track team traveled to Steamboat on Saturday to compete against nine teams.
Ethan Peacock set a new RMS record and personal best in the triple jump, jumping 33-4.
Seventh-grade boys Tobi Gasper, William Scoggins, Chas Byerly and Gabe Garcia took the second place ribbon in the 400×1 relay in a time of 57:06. Colton Coombs won a second place ribbon in the 100-meter dash with Tobi Gasber taking third and Chas Byerly taking fourth.
All team members represented Rangely with respectable times and efforts considering that we are a team of 14 and many schools had more than 100 participants.
Next year the upcoming seventh-graders will definitely be exceptional athletes bringing lots of talent to the field. Thanks to all the parents, volunteers and others who made this a very successful track season.
