RANGELY I The Rangely Middle School (RMS) Student Council participated in a new fundraiser this semester with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for Children in its “Pennies for Patients” campaign. Students in sixth through eighth grades received their own yellow change box to take home or place at a local business and fill with spare change.
RMS StuCo then ran a contest to see which of the three classes could collect the most change.
The seventh grade won the contest, collecting $277.06, and the students received a pizza party for lunch on April 30.
The total amount collected was $377.55. The RMS Student Council would like to thank all students, parents and community businesses that participated. Remember the motto: “Spare change can change lives.”
