RBC | A rock slide early Tuesday morning closed both east and westbound lanes of I-70 at mile marker 120.5 in Glenwood Canyon. A large amount of debris and rock, 25 to 30 dump truck loads, caused damage to the westbound lane, according to Tracy Trulove, CDOT’s public information officer. Several boulders were the size of an SUV and had to be “boulder-busted” by a specialty team.
CDOT reopened the highway in both directions Tuesday evening.
