Residents and visitors enjoying Saturday’s “50 Years Wild” celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Wilderness Act of 1964 on the county courthouse lawn in Meeker spent a lot of time enjoying the close proximity of the Rocky Mountain Regional Mule Packstring, which was located on Fifth Street. There were also displays of an old outfitter’s camp, Dutch oven demonstrations, backcountry packing tips, cross-cut saws and leathermaking.
