MEEKER I Several local salons will donate part of their services this Friday, Dec. 14, to help the Houser family’s Christmas wish come true.
Toby Houser, son of Meeker’s Dale and Cheryl Houser, was in a tragic accident in June of this year involving a handgun. The accident took Toby’s sinuses and eyes.
Cheryl Houser shared this story with a local hairdresser and said all she wanted for Christmas was to give her son eyes, which moved the local hairdresser to get involved and organize a fundraiser.
The Salon on 6th will host a bake sale, chair massage and gift raffle Friday and six others will be donating part of their services too, including Aura of Peace, Shears Salon, A Cut Above, Rocky Mountain Hairbenders, Just Teasin’, Tips to Toes, Meeker Drugs and Bronwyn Schindler. Please see the ad on page 6A of this week’s Herald Times.
Donations are also being accepted at several local businesses and a fund has been set up for Toby Houser at First National Bank of the Rockies in Meeker.
