RBC I The summer fun and frolic is over for the school-aged youths of Rio Blanco County as students in Rangely and Meeker reported back to school this week for the beginning of the 2014-15 school year.
The first public school to open was Rangely Junior/Senior High School, which opened its doors at 7:45 a.m. on Monday. Rangely’s Parkview Elementary School began its classes at 8 a.m. on Wednesday with the school day wrapping up at 3:30 p.m.
All Meeker schools opened their doors on Wednesday.
Meeker High School class hours will run 7:50 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Monday through Thursday as the Meeker School Board of Trustees has adopted a four-day school week this year.
Hours for Barone Middle School run 7:55 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., the same as for Meeker Elementary School, with the exception of kindergarten classes. For morning kindergarten, class hours are 8 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; for afternoon kindergarten, class hours are 12:25 to 3:40 p.m.
