Members of Meeker’s Barone Middle School eighth-grade class went on the traditional end-of-the-school-year trip to Washington, D.C., last week. One of the sites they visited was the Albert Einstein Memorial. The outdoor sculpture was unveiled in 1979, in honor of the centennial of the famous scientist’s birth. The bronze figure weighs four tons and is 12 feet tall.
